I used ATS Environmental to conduct a septic tank inspection on a house I'm looking to purchase. Being that this is my first home with a septic tank, they took the time to explain to me how the inspection will be conducted as well as educating me on the things that they are looking for and why. They showed up on time for the inspection and were very professional throughout the process. The inspection report was delivered shortly after the inspection and was extremely thorough. I would recommend ATS to anyone looking for an honest and unbiased report of their septic tank.

I used ATS for an oil tank scan, and sure enough they found an oil tank. The ATS tech Joe also pointed out to me that the soil had a strong pungent odor. Turned out, that the odor was heating oil, and that the soil was indeed contaminated. Upon further analysis, the soil contamination was thirteen times the acceptable limit. Needles to say, we are not buying the house.
I cannot say enough good things about ATS. They saved my family and I from a potentially crushing liability. I would recommend them to anyone buying a home in the Tri-state area.

They're inspection report indicated that my septic tank had settled and tilted towards the house. Requested several quotes to repair and the companies asked me to send them the report. Quite an expensive repair when I received quotes to pull the tank and reset it with an 80% chance that it would break. Fortunately, One company thought it unusual that it would settle so they came out and did an independent inspection to discover the tank is perfectly level but the pipes had settled and needed to be relevelled. Significantly cheaper to repair. I paid ATS over $800 to pump the tank and inspect it. I wish they would have paid attention to the water level in the tank or took measurements to confirm that the tank was or wasn't tilted.
